The last few hours of the day of a mom’s “work day” can get kind of hectic. You know the routine: feed the kids dinner, clean the dishes, give the kids a bath, get them dressed in their pajamas for bed, and actually get them to go to sleep.
I don’t know about you, but after all of that, I’m ready to relax! How exactly do I unwind after a long day as a mom? I’ll let you in on my fun, relaxing routine.
How to Relax – Mommy Style
First, I tell my husband that I “need a few things from Target” and I’ll be right back. Obviously, we both know that I won’t be right back, because Target is filled with too many fantastic things that take time to look at. This will be a minimum of a one hour trip.
Next, once I arrive to The Best Place on Earth, I quickly grab myself a refreshment, and of course a shopping cart!
Then, I carefully make my way through the store to explore pretty much everything. I explore just about every important aisle: clothes, shoes, kid’s stuff, food, and lastly make my way over to the beauty aisles.
On my most recent trip to Target I stopped at the alluring Burt’s Bees display to see what new products they had in their awesome collection. I found the new Burt’s Bees Cleansing Oil, and thought it looked super interesting, so I decided to give it a try. I also picked up a few other Burt’s Bees products to bring home and add to my relaxation routine. By the way, if you love to save money at Target, you can grab a coupon on Cartwheel for the new Burt’s Bees Cleansing Oil here.
The next step of my Mommy Relaxation Routine, is go back home and pamper my skin by trying out all of my new beauty indulgences, before I head to bed.
I was particularly excited to try the new Burt’s Bees Cleansing Oil after my most recent trip to Target. It is 100% natural, gently removes dirt and makeup without leaving an oily residue, and leaves skin soft and smooth…basically, what more could you ask for?!
As soon as I got home I went straight to my bedroom, threw on my comfiest clothes, and got ready to relax even more. I started my nightly skincare routine with the Burt’s Bees Cleansing Oil. It smells really nice, and feels great on my skin.
The first step in using the Burt’s Bees Cleansing Oil is to pump it into your dry hands.
Then, gently massage it over your dry face.
Next, wet your hands and gently continue to massage the Cleansing Oil onto your face.
Last, rinse your face thoroughly and pat dry.
The Cleansing Oil is not a stand-alone product, so I like to follow up with another amazing product from the Burt’s Bees Collection, the Brightening Refining Tonic.
I just squeeze some of the Refining Tonic onto a cotton ball, and apply it to my face and neck.
The last step of my Mommy Relaxation Routine is to take my beautifully clean skin right into my bed. I bring along with me some delightfully delicious ice cream to snack on, my cell phone to catch up on social media happenings, and I turn on the TV, too. Obviously, it’s multitasking at it’s finest! Oh, and it’s pretty darn relaxing, too!
Sometimes, I even let my husband have some of my ice cream if I’m feeling generous.
Ok, mamas, I want to know, what do YOU do to relax after a long day in Mommyhood? Target trip? Skincare? A long hot bath? Leave a comment and let me know! If you’ve tried the Burt’s Bees Collection, what’s your favorite product(s) in the line?
